Bud Book – Manual for Earthly Living

How to dream, how to travel, how to play? Bud Book – Manual for Earthly Living by Laura Gustafsson and Terike Haapoja offers suggestions on how to live as a human being in a world endangered by the old way of being human. The book features 37 interviewees (from artist Eija-Liisa Ahtila to poet Asiya Wadud) who chart the current state of the world and contemplate the meaning of life and the possibilities of new life and ways of life. 

Bud Book, published by HAM, is a part of artist duo Gustafsson&Haapoja’s Becoming video installation, which explores emerging approaches to oneself, others and the world. Becoming premiered at HAM as part of Gustafsson&Haapoja’s Museum of Becoming exhibition in 2020. The book is available in Finnish and English: Bud Book – Manual for Earthly Living.
