Mato ja meri (Finnish)

The children’s book Mato ja meri by Jenni Erkintalo tells a story of excessive consumption, the sea and surprising friendship. Mato the earthworm crawls up a rock and gazes longingly at the sea. Suddenly a bottle washes up nearby, and Mato notices a message on its side: HELP! The book was included in the esteemed White Ravens catalogue of international children's and youth literature in October 2019. Jenni Erkintalo, who both wrote and illustrated the book, is a graphic artist, illustrator and author of children’s books. Hardback, 40 pages. Dimensions 20.5 x 25.5 cm.
