Raimo and Maarit Huttunen Collection

The book presents the Raimo and Maarit Huttunen Collection donated to HAM Helsinki Art Museum in 2018. Assembled with passion and unconventional vision, the collection consits mainly of Finnish contemporary art - including its fringe exponents - highlighting the vast tapersty of human exoerience and the varied landscapes of the human psyche.

The main essay is by Pessi Rautio, MA, art critic and editor-in-chief of Taide magazine, who reflects on the genesis of the collection and the collectors' views on art and its meaning, notably as expressed through their work running Helsinki Bakeliittibambi Gallery between 1996 and 2007. The publication also contains a comrehensive list of works and detailed presentation of selected works.
